Principles for data processing 

In terms of the company's operation and service provision, it is necessary to collect and process the personal data of our customers, users of our services, and representatives of our partners and other stakeholders. All processing of personal data takes place while respecting the privacy of the individuals in the registers. 

The methods of appropriate data processing ensure that our operating methods in processing personal data and the measures to protect personal data are appropriate. This procedure has been implemented at Nordic Sports Brands Oy as follows: 

  • All processing of personal data has a determined purpose and legal basis. The processing is transparent from the perspective of the data subject. 

  • Only data that is necessary is processed and only for the purpose for which the data was originally collected. 

  • Personal data can be processed in the organization only by those employees who need it for their work. The data will be disclosed to third parties only when it’s deemed necessary and only in an appropriate manner.

We may collect and process your personal data for different purposes, depending on which of our services you use or how you connect with us. The purpose and legal basis of personal data processing, the collected personal data, and their retention periods, as well as regular sources and disclosures of the data are described below for each register. 

We collect and process personal data primarily in the following registers: 

Recipients of personal data 

Personal data may be transferred to Nordic Sports Brands Oy's subsidiaries, partner companies, and the service providers it uses, such as courier services, to perform these tasks. Personal data is never transferred outside the company without a valid data processing agreement. Furthermore, personal data may be transferred to authorities as required by legislation or if the authority submits a data request. The data is transferred to the information systems of the service providers used by the company. 

Data retention 

Personal data is stored only as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the processing. Different personal data groups have different statutory retention periods. Data transfers outside the EU or EEA or to an international organization 

Personal data may not be transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area unless it is necessary to ensure the technical implementation of the organization or its partner. In these cases, the controller ensures that the personal data transfer agreement between the parties and the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission are followed. 

Data security and protection of registers 

The persons processing personal data at Nordic Sports Brands Oy follow the given data protection and data security instructions. Personal data is stored in a secure environment and is used only by the company's employees at their secure workstations, where the employees can log in with their personal user ID. 

Processing rights are limited to maintenance and administrative tasks. Only designated employees of the organization and the companies acting on its behalf have the right to process and maintain the personal data. Contact information collected during events and other manually processed documents containing customer data are stored in locked and fire-proof storage facilities after initial processing. 

The Controller ensures that the provisions and principles of the GDPR, regulations from the authorities and good data processing practices are followed while processing personal data. 

Rights of the data subject 

The data subject has the right to inspect what personal data is collected and processed of them, the right to request the correction or deletion of their personal data, or the restriction of the processing, and the right to object to the processing of their personal data. However, there is no right to delete, restrict, or object to personal data whose processing is necessary. 

As the data subject, you have the right to have the case regarding the implementation of the rights related to data protection brought before the supervisory authority (Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman), if we have not complied with the regulations regarding data protection. 

We do not make decisions based on automated decision-making. We only use profiling for the behavior of our website visitors and automatically target marketing based on such profiling.
